The Bonita is a Tourist Superior motor yacht that delivers the full Galápagos experience at the most accessible price point in the fleet. With just 16 passengers aboard, you get the same small-ship intimacy and uncrowded landings as any vessel in the archipelago — without paying for premium extras you may not need.
Eight comfortable cabins each include air conditioning, a private bathroom, and daily housekeeping. The Bonita is well-equipped for active exploration — snorkeling gear and wetsuits, kayaks, paddleboards, and zodiac pangas for both wet and dry landings are all included.
Every excursion is led by a Galápagos National Park-certified naturalist guide in English — the same quality of guidance you’d find on any vessel in the fleet. The Galápagos National Park doesn’t differentiate between vessel classes when it comes to the guides it certifies.

Frequently asked questions
Booking & Payment
How far in advance should I book?
▾
Peak season — July, August, Christmas, and Easter — fills up 6 to 12 months in advance. We strongly recommend booking as early as possible. Last-minute deals occasionally become available if your dates are flexible.
What is the deposit and payment policy?
▾
A deposit of 30% of the total cruise price secures your booking. The remaining 70% is due 90 days before departure. For last-minute bookings, full payment is required at confirmation. We'll send a detailed WeTravel proposal with payment instructions.
Can I choose my route or itinerary?
▾
Yes. The Ecogalaxy operates three routes: Southern Islands (5 days), Western Islands (6 days), and Eastern Islands (6 days). Let us know your preferred route when you submit your inquiry and we'll check live availability for your dates.
Can I request a specific cabin type?
▾
Yes — the Ecogalaxy has double and twin cabins across four decks. Specify your preference when requesting a quote and we'll confirm availability. Cabins are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis after deposit.
Onboard & Activities
What's included in the cruise price?
▾
All meals, snacks, water, tea and coffee, all guided excursions, snorkeling gear and wetsuits, kayaks and paddleboards, zodiac panga rides, National Park-certified naturalist guide in English, beach towels, cabin housekeeping, and Galápagos airport transfers.
Are all excursions guided in English?
▾
Yes. Every excursion is led by a Galápagos National Park-certified naturalist guide who conducts all commentary in English. Guides are deeply knowledgeable about the islands' ecology, geology, and wildlife.
Is seasickness a concern on a catamaran?
▾
Catamarans are significantly more stable than monohull vessels. That said, if you are prone to motion sickness we recommend bringing medication or patches as a precaution. Open-ocean crossings between islands are typically the roughest moments.
Can the cruise accommodate dietary requirements?
▾
Yes — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, and allergy-specific diets can be accommodated with at least 30 days notice. Please inform us when you submit your inquiry so the kitchen can plan accordingly.
Costs & Extras
What's not included in the price?
▾
International flights to Ecuador, domestic flights to the Galápagos (approx. USD 490–560), Galápagos National Park entrance fee (USD 200), INGALA Transit Control Card (USD 20), alcoholic beverages, crew and guide gratuities, and personal travel insurance.
How much should I budget for gratuities?
▾
Gratuities are not included but are appreciated. The suggested amount is USD 15–25 per person per day for the crew and USD 10–15 per person per day for the naturalist guide. This is entirely at your discretion.
Are alcoholic beverages available onboard?
▾
Yes, alcoholic beverages are available onboard but are charged separately. All non-alcoholic drinks, water, tea, and coffee are included throughout your cruise.
Planning Your Trip
What fitness level is required?
▾
Most excursions involve easy to moderate walking on uneven terrain — lava rocks, sandy beaches, and forest trails ranging from 0.6 to 2.6 km. No special fitness is required, but basic mobility is needed for zodiac panga landings.
What is the best time of year to visit?
▾
The Galápagos is a year-round destination. June–December brings cooler, drier weather with excellent snorkeling visibility. January–May is warmer with lush landscapes and active nesting for species including waved albatross. Each season offers unique wildlife encounters.
Can I combine this cruise with mainland Ecuador?
▾
Absolutely — and we encourage it. Narwell Tours operates shore excursions in Manta, Ecuador, which pairs beautifully with a Galápagos cruise. We can also design an itinerary pairing the Highlands, or Amazonia regions. Ask us about combined itineraries when you request a quote.
Still have a question? We respond to every inquiry within 24 hours.
