What to expect
The gastronomy of the region is well known all over the country. Recently was acclaimed by the National Institute of Cultural Heritage as an intangible heritage of Ecuador. There are 142 different recipes. From soups to a variety of kinds of rice, but the star of the dishes is the Ecuadorian “ceviche”, delicious!.
Throughout this tour, you will experience the local food and culture. First, you will have local breakfast and a freshly grounded Ecuadorian coffee at Casa Rosada, a renovated heritage house full of history. Then we will get the best ingredients, picked by a local chef, at the fish and veggie markets, respectively. Following this, we will have a cooking class and a well-deserved lunch, where you taste our famous ceviche!
But this doesn’t end here. After lunch, we will head to a local craft beer brewery, getting to know the process and a beer tasting. Cheers!
